My name is Lisa Gonzales and I began my journey at First Church in 2014 when I was asked to come on board as an Interim Children’s Director. Needless to say, I fell in love with Children’s Ministry and soon asked if I could apply for the position. It has been a joy to serve the children and families of First Church ever since. 

I graduated from UCF with a degree in elementary education and I taught 1st grade for 6 years before my son was born. I now have 3 children: Joey, Mikey, and Bella. I have been married to my husband, Anthony, for 20 years and we love family movie nights and big Sunday meals!

I grew up in the Methodist Church and I honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t have Jesus in my life. I asked him to be my Lord and Savior at a very young age and every day I strive to be more like Him. I often say I have the best job ever because I get to combine my love of teaching with my love of Jesus.
